Thank you for your waiting. XPS --- eXtensible Programming Script integrating native XML processing, the powers of scripting language, and the availability of low-cost computing platforms, will be available for downloading as a beta release on 1st Jul 2001.

XPS is developed to run in Microsoft Windows 95/98 environment. As an imperative and active programming language, XPS complements declarative and passive data transformation formatting language such as XSLT (together with XPath) to provide a truly anything-to-XML and XML-to-anything data processing environment. Its ultimate aim is to become a versatile and dynamic bridge for all your data processing needs, especially in relation to XML technology.

You need XML for your business processing and document flow. But how do you process XML data with the least hassle and most flexibility to accomodate your own computing platforms and those of your partners and customers?

Easing Your Way Into XML Using XPS
Using XPS, we hope to tap the low-cost computing cycles of the many PCs available nowadays to provide a simple processor for transforming and operating on information and, in particular, XML data. Our purpose to develop and release XPS is none other than to ease the use of XML technology in business, office, education and any area that XML finds application in.

For example, use XPS to convert XML data to text files in any format you want, whether it is intended for input to legacy systems, or for special quoted format for further input to spreadsheets. Use XPS to iron out the nitty-gritty format requirements of 3rd party systems, databases and spreadsheets to allow your business information to flow smoothly. Or just transform your customer's XML orders into your own back-office XML format for storing into XML database such as SoftwareAG's Tamino Server. With XPS, we believe that we have moved you a step closer to enabling your computing environment using XML solutions.
