Most wireless headphones use Bluetooth technology, and although they got pretty bad reputation in the past for low-quality sound output thanks to their compression system resulting in a major loss of sound quality, but the same thing do not exactly happen these days. The latest version of Bluetooth, the Bluetooth 4.0, has considerably reduced noise distortion to make the sound output of wireless headphones a lot more pleasant. As a bonus, using a pair of wireless Bluetooth headphones when you are running; means that there is no need to worry about tangled wires that obstruct your focus on the sport and can reduce your comfort level.

However, a wireless headphone does not offer the same quality-to-price ratio as wired headphones, which often offer the same quality of audio output for the same price point as wireless headphones. In fact, a vast majority of audiophiles are still incredibly loyal to wired headphones as in general they are still offering higher quality of audio fidelity than wireless headphones, making them the best choice for fans of lossless audio. Wired headphones are also free from interferences that might reduce or affect the sound quality coming from a pair of Bluetooth headphones, and they are generally more affordable.
